The tobacco leaves had been rolled in the classic format that is tapered at both ends. This vitola has fallen out of favour due to the more successful vector-straight styles of cigar that are most common today, however the format offers a remarkable draw.

Upon smoking the cigar we discovered that it had been rolled with a generous amount of ligero yet still retained the flavours that are characteristic of the Partagas brand. Agreeing that British-based aficionados deserved a cigar of this power, flavour, construction and magnitude.

The Partagás Presidente is a distinguished cigar that exemplifies the rich heritage of the Partagás brand. Measuring 7 inches in length with a 47-ring gauge, this Double Figurado, known as the “Taco” vitola, presents a unique and elegant silhouette. Although a longstanding feature in the Partagás lineup, it was only introduced to the UK market in 2017, where it has since garnered popularity among aficionados.

Upon lighting, the Presidente offers a medium to full-bodied experience characteristic of Partagás cigars. Initial draws reveal deep, earthy flavors, accompanied by notes of rich woods, nuts, and spice. As the smoke progresses, subtle hints of leather emerge, adding complexity and depth to the profile. The cigar maintains a harmonious balance between power and flavor, delivering a robust yet refined experience.
