Almost a year ago, Warped Cigars’ Kyle Gellis announced the creation of Gellis Family Cigars. This was soon followed by the release of the Marevas blend, with plans for a quick follow-up — and now that time has arrived with the launch of Saunter, a smooth, everyday Dominican cigar that pairs perfectly with a good cup of coffee. Why Saunter? Gellis explained to Cigar Aficionado: “Saunter refers to the act of moving in a slow, relaxed manner, without hurry — and that’s the inspiration for the blend. It’s a complex, medium-bodied cigar with deep flavours and subtle nuances, meant to be enjoyed at a leisurely pace.”
The blend features a core of Nicaraguan and Dominican tobacco, finished with an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper. Expect a mild to medium-bodied smoke with notes of cedar, earth, and a touch of vanilla on the finish.
